For the first time ever, the gambling industry in Great Britain is coming together to support the launch of Responsible Gambling Week. This national, cross-industry awareness campaign will run from 12th – 18th October 2017 and aims to get everyone talking about what it means to gamble responsibly. IGRG Announces Further Enhancements to the Industry Code For Socially Responsible Advertising
The IGRG today (2nd October 2017) announced a number of enhancements that have been made to the Industry Code (‘the Industry Code’) for Socially Responsible Advertising. These improvements will form part of the third edition of the Code which is to be implemented by the end of 2017. The full press release can be found here
IGRG Members commit to Responsible Gambling Week 2017
All IGRG members have committed, unilaterally, to Responsible Gambling Week 2017, which will bring together all sectors of the gambling industry, building on the existing work undertaken in each sector on responsible gambling.
The national week long event will aim promote responsible gambling behaviours to customers, staff and the general public, in addition to signposting where further information and help can be found. The date for the Week has been set as 12-18th September 2017.
John Hagan appointed as new IGRG chairman
The Industry Group for Responsible Gambling (IGRG) has today (23rd December 2015) announced the appointment of John Hagan as the new IGRG Chairman, which is effective from 1st January 2016.
John Hagan is a founding partner of the specialist gambling law firm Harris Hagan, based in the City of London. John has advised many of the world’s largest gambling operators as well as governments and trade associations. John is an Officer of the International Association of Gaming Advisors, a member of International Masters of Gaming Law and is the Deputy Chairman of GamCare, the leading problem gambling charity in the UK...
