Responsible gambling Programme


Background

IGRG commissioned a Stock Take report (July 2014) to review industry responsible gambling practices and initiatives, the report identified four key areas where the IGRG could work together to deliver solutions to improve and promote responsible gambling practices across all sectors of gambling.

Barry Hardy (former IGRG Chairman) wrote to the Secretary of State the Rt. Hon Sajid David MP on 16th December 2014 outlining the work programme which IGRG will be engaged with.

The four key areas of mutual interest (below) have been discussed with the Gambling Commission.

1. National Cross-Sector voluntary self-exclusion signposting scheme
2. Staff Training Strategy development programme
3. Customer Messaging development programme
4. Engagement programme with Local Authorities and Government Associations

The IGRG is working with the Responsible Gambling Trust on three of the key areas; national cross-sector voluntary self-exclusion signposting scheme, staff training strategy development and customer messaging development programmes.
